There’s a new serial killer in town – and we bet you or anybody else haven’t figured this out until now!

The World Health Organization (WHO) has declared processed foods like breakfast and deli meats, as Class 1-A Carcinogens. This means that if you feed your child lunch meat, bacon or sausage on a daily basis, it’s like smoking a pack of cigarettes each day which is detrimental to your health.

So which one is worse – eating processed meats or smoking?

Basically, they’re the same, says recent research on carcinogenicity and its link to red and processed meat. The study, conducted on behalf of the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC). Its researchers declared that just 1 two-ounce piece of processed meat eaten daily can increase your risk of developing colon cancer by almost 20%.

That’s about only 2 slices of processed ham, chicken, turkey, roast beef, salami or bologna for you. In fact, most people will pile on the salami or bologna for added flavor.

The WHO has also put processed meats in the same Class 1-A Carcinogen category as Cigarettes, Alcohol, Arsenic, and Asbestos. Studies found that class 1-A Carcinogens can lead to bowel cancer, pancreatic cancer, and prostate cancer.

Why the devastating effects of processed meats on health? Well, you can attribute that to the nitrites and nitrates used to preserve meats and protect their color. These are precursors to N-nitroso compounds (NOCs) that tend to induce tumors in several organs in different animal species, including man.

This piece of news is earthshaking because another study published in the journal Cancer was able to link preserved cold cut meats to bladder cancer and a 30% higher risk of that disease for those who consume preserved cold cuts. This study surveyed over 300,000 men and women from eight U.S. states over an eight-year period.

And the worse thing is when people consume sodium nitrate. It actually creates nitrosamines. It is one of the most highly carcinogenic chemical compounds ever recorded in human nutrition history. The effect is like giving your child a pack of cigarettes each week to smoke.

Even though you don’t smoke but you eat daily a lot of bacon, lettuce and tomato sandwiches or ham and cheese sandwich. It’s like putting into your system ammonia, bleach, aluminum, formaldehyde, and insecticide. All carcinogens!

The IARC declared in an issue of the Lancet Oncology. This statement: “We’ve known for some time about the probable link between red and processed meat and bowel cancer, which is backed by substantial evidence.”

So, this recent study says that the typical American Diet is a carcinogenic diet with its bacon. And also lettuce and tomato sandwiches, or ham and cheese sandwiches – accompanied by flu shots and mainstream television.
