Colon cancer was found out to occur on both men and women, and it was noted that men have the higher risk to be diagnosed because of their lifestyle compared to women who generally eat more vegetables than men. Many people with colon cancer experience no symptoms in the early stages of the disease. When symptoms appear, they’ll likely vary, depending on cancer’s size and location in the large intestine.

Natural remedies have been connected to prevent colon cancer, but not enough research has been done to prescribe them. Now, various studies have found an alternative treatment for cancer which is able to effectively inhibit colon cancer!

Coconut oil is starting to become more popular in the Western world due to its strong influence and praise coming from health and wellness advocates. With the advancement of modern technology and breakthroughs in science, numerous studies in the past decade has proven coconut oil to be a “good” saturated fat and is incredibly healthy.

Coconut Oil and the Two-day Treatment

According to one study conducted by the Adelaide University of Australia, lauric acid, a saturated fat that is one of the main components of coconut oil, was able to destroy 93% of colon cancer cells after only two days of treatment!

The study also reports/cites that both in vitro (in a petri dish) and in vivo (in rats) studies have been led on the value of lauric acid on cancer cells or hyperplasia, and each one provided equal results. These initial studies give capable results that warrant further research into how lauric acid, whether extracted or from whole coconut oil, will affect cancer cells in living humans, especially since some studies suggest that medium chain fatty acids might increase the risk of colorectal cancer.

Coconut oil has also been found to have benefits that exceed its cancer-killing properties, as multiple clinical studies conducted by the American Nutrition Association have shown. According to the studies, the fats found in coconut oil “can be useful in the curing and prevention of conditions like diabetes, osteoporosis, viral diseases (mononucleosis, hepatitis C, herpes etc.), biliary tract diseases, Chron’s disease, and cancer.”
